Bhatapara is a city and a nagar palika in Baloda Bazar - Bhatapara district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India.

Bhatapara is a municipal or Nagar Pallika town. It has a full fledged municipal civic body to look after all its day to day civic administration. For better administration it has been divided into several wards. Election for these wards are held in once in every 5 years.
